KAMPALA – Two staff at the NRM secretariat have tested positive for coronavirus.
In a statement issued by NRM Secretary General Justine Kasule Lumumba, the staff have been admitted to hospital.
“This morning, two of our key staff at the NRM Secretariate tested positive for COVID 19. They have been admitted to Hospital for proper care. We are working with the technical people and further guidance will be given in due course. I urge everyone to stay alert, healthy and safe,” she said on Wednesday.
This comes a day after President Museveni visited the secretariat where he was endorsed as the sole candidate for the party chairmanship.
The news will be a concern for hundreds of people who flock the offices every day to pick nomination forms ahead of 2021 elections.
