
KAMPALA – Uganda has registered 98 coronavirus cases bringing the total cases to 2,524 as of August 25,2020.
According to the health ministry, among the new cases are 65 from Kampala, 8 from Moroto, 6 from Wakiso, 4 from Mbale, 2 from Adjumani, 3 from Gulu, and 3 from Arua, Kotido and Tororo districts with one case each.
“Track drivers (3) from different points of entry: Mpondwe-2 and Malaba-1,” the Ministry said in a statement.
Additionally, two retunees from South Sudan and South Africa as well as one health worker from am Adjumani tested positive for COVID-19.
MOH further revealed that 3 truck drivers from Kenya and Tanzania tested positive for the virus and their entry into the country was not permitted.
Uganda has also recorded one coronavirus death rising the death toll to 26.

Uganda has 1,268 COVID-19 recoveries to date.
