KAMPALA- City lawyer Male Mabirizi has vowed to drag Presidential hopeful Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine to court for allegedly providing wrong information concerning his age.
According to a press statement authored by Mabirizi, Kyagulanyi was not born in 1982 as he claims but rather in 1980.
“…his Diploma Academic Transcript from Makerere University shows his date of birth as February 12,1980,” he noted.
Mabirizi said Bobi wine’s age issue is a big discovery for a person who aspires for the first office in the country “and riding on a purpoted younger age.”
Mabirizi further noted that the only way he can block Bobi wine’s nomination is through arranging evidence that can convict him or any offense involving dishonesty before the election day.
“Accordingly, steps are underway to retrieve the several documents signed by Hon Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert from Makerere University, National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) where he applied for a national identity card, Parliament where he signed the Bio-data form, passport office where he applied for passport and other government offices where he was dishonest with his age,” the statement reads.
Mabirizi said the evidence will sustain criminal charges against Bobi wine and will be instituted through private prosecution as soon as evidence collection is completed.
Additionally, lawyer Mabirizi revealed that Bobi wine failed Mathematics at O-level getting an F9 hence casting doubt on his ability to steer the country.
He added that, “Hon Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert failed General paper at A-level, no wonder his inability to articulate policy issues for the country.”
