MOROTO— The UPDF has joined authorities in Moroto in the hunt for about 50 inmates who made a daring escape from a jail on Wednesday.
Sources say over 50 inmates who are suspected to be Covid-19 positive escaped from the Moroto prison with over 36 guns.
It has not been immediately established how they escaped but unverified source say the military has lost a soldier in the fire exchange during the chase.
A photo shot by a witness shows the inmates scattering in all directions with the military, police and corrections officers in hot pursuit.
