
KAMPALA – The Ministry of Health has confirmed 326 new COVID-19 cases.
This brings the cumulative total confirmed cases of Ugandans to 4,703.
Part of the new confirmed cases are 317 contacts and alerts.
“Kampala (94), Buikwe (93), Kitgum (29), Gulu (17), Moroto (19), Mbale (10), Amuru (9), Kapchorwa (8), Pader (7), Nwoya (5), Bududa (5), Mukono (5), Wakiso (4), Jinja (2), Omoro (2), Sironko (3), Zombo (2), Arua (1),Namisindwa (1), Tororo (1),” reads a statement from MOH.
The ministry for revealed that 9 returnees with 5 from India, 1 from Burkina Faso, 1 from Italy,1 from Iraq and 1 from Kenya.
3 COVID-19 deaths from Kampala have been registered on September 12.
This brings the total COVID-19 deaths to 52.
1998 people have recovered from COVID-19 according to the health ministry.
