
KAMPALA – The Ministry of Health has confirmed 101 new COVID-19 cases from tests done on Sunday, October 18,2020.
This brings the total confirmed cases of Ugandans to 10, 691.
According to the ministry, 100 are alerts and contacts to previously confimed cases.
“Kampala (43), Lira (38), Rubanda (6), Kiryandongo (3), Kisoro (3), Iganga (2), Jinja (2), Namayingo (2), Mukono (1),” reads part of a statement from MOH.
1 truck driver from Mirama Hills also tested positive for COVID-19.
To-date, Uganda has registered 97 COVID-19 deaths with 6,992 recoveries.
Ministry Spokesperson Emmanuel Ainebyoba revealed that 4 people are critically ill in intensive care units (ICU).
“27 have severe disease in High Dependency Unit. Please wear your mask always while in public. DON’T be part of these statistics,” he posted on his official Twitter handle.
