KAMPALA — The music industry is now that entity that cannot be separated from politics. This was initially brought about by singer-cum-politician and 2021 Presidential hopeful Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine who defied the odds and rose from being just a musician to a legislator.
His success in the political field that saw him launch a movement (People Power) that has since turned into a political party (National Unity Platform) has brought up a situation that the entertainment industry has been swallowed up by politics that even artistes who chose not to contest for any political position find themselves saying a thing or two about politics.
With the country gearing towards the 2021 general elections, controversial singer Alex Bagonza alias A Pass believes President Museveni has not done quite enough in his 36 years in office despite talking and promising a lot more than he has achieved.
The ‘Chupa ku Chupa’ hit maker believes that this is the time the president should hang up his boots when he still has the love of some people.
“A man can talk anything but to live that talk can be very hard and I see that you have failed more than you have achieved for the people so I think it’s time to go with love. Thank You, Sir,” said A Pass.
Despite his sentiments, Alexander Bagonza confesses how he still loves his president because no one is perfect and he just like any other normal human being is prone to making mistakes.
The singer says he loves how President Museveni says he wants the best for Uganda and Africa and that his words are very powerful.
“I love the president of my country Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and I thank him for everything, good and bad, winnings and failures. No one is perfect in this world.”
