
KAMPALA – President Yoweri Museveni has removed Gen Sabiiti Muzeyi from the position of Deputy Inspector General of Police and replaced him with Maj Gen Paul Loketch.
Although the Uganda Media Centre has not confirmed the appointment, sources close to the appointing authority have intimated to PML Daily that Gen Muzeyi has been sent to army headquarters for redeployment.
John Martins-Okoth Ochola retains his positions as IGP.

In the other changes, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has been reappointed Commander of the Special Forces Command, an elite unit that guards the President.
Maj Gen Loketch is the former UPDF Chief of Staff Airforce. Loketch is considered the country’s finest commander. He played a big role in defeating Al Shabaaba insurgents in Somalia leading UPDF contingents.
