
ENTEBBE – President Yoweri Museveni has ordered the closure of all schools, churches and mosques for 42 days starting from June 7, 2021.
Museveni who is currently addressing the nation on coronavirus pandemic that has hardly hit the nation, has also suspended public cultural gatherings are here by suspended for 42 days.
He said that known agricultural activities will continue operating as we observe to see if they can follow SOPs.
Museveni also ordered that public transport from one district to another is suspended starting 10th of June.
“This is to allow children from school to get to their home,” he said.
According to the President, the government is committed to vaccinate all the 21.9 million eligible Ugandans, starting with the priority groups of 4.8 million people.
