
KAMPALA — Journalist Conan Daniel Businge has been appointed Press Secretary to Vice President Maj. Rtd, Jessica Alupo.
He will be the chief spokesperson of the Vice President and her office.
A journalist for 13 years, Businge has been the Education Editor at the New Vision.
Previously, he served as a senior reporter for the same paper, creating articles on a wide range of topics including education, health, politics, development and security.
Among the useful sources he developed and depeened while still reporting includes the Vice President Maj. Alupo who served as Education Minister at the time.
He has over professional Communication and Media experience—majoring in devising successful media
strategies, journalism and orchestrating special events and projects with several media platforms.
He is also an enthusiastic and innovative Marketing leader with 8 years of experience in delivering exceptional marketing campaigns and communication assignments, content and collateral based on established and innovative strategies.
One of his assignments as press secretary, will be to build out a vibrant media team for the Vice President and possibly, to eventually give press briefings.
He has a clear understanding of changing dynamics in local and international news.
