KAMPALA – President Museveni has blamed “false prophets” for escalating death figures of Covid-19 related illness.
Mr. Museveni who is currently addressing the nation for an update on thdme lockdown measures from State House, Nakasero says that false prophets say that what government is doing is nonsense and that “we are stopping you because we don’t want you to have rallies.”
“This was because we don’t want our people to die,” he said.
“Some people are dying because of delaying to go to the hospital. When you delay, the lungs and kidneys get damaged; that is what I hear.”
Mr. Museveni says that even when the coronavirus is defeated, the damage to the organs is irreversible.
“Delay to report is a serious mistake and a cause of death.”
“Before we intervened, when you tested 100 people, you would find 22 with COVID19. Today, only 8 out of 100 are found with Coronavirus,” he said.
