
KAMPALA — President Yoweri Museveni on Thursday evening named five new additions on his ever increasing list of advisors.
Notable among the new additions are outgoing Head of Public Service and Secretary to the Cabinet Dr John Mitala who is the new Senior Presidential Advisor on Public Service.
The President also appointed his son-in-law Odrek Rwabwogo as a presidential advisor for special duties.
Rwabwogo is husband President Museveni’s daughter Patience.
In the other appointments, former Bushenyi Woman Member of Parliament and Minister in Charge of General Duties in the Office of the Prime Minister, Mary Karoro Okurut was named Senior Presidential Advisor on Public Relations while former State Minister for Youth and Children Affairs Nakiwala Kiyingi becomes Senior Presidential Advisor on Gender and Youth Affairs.
