ENTEBBE, UGANDA – History was made at Coco Beach in Entebbe over the weekend as dog owners and their furry friends gathered for the country’s first-ever dog beach party.
Veterinary doctor Sharif Ssemwanga, also known as @mydogug, was in attendance and shared valuable tips with the public on dog care and welfare. “Events like these are crucial in promoting dog adoption and raising awareness about animal welfare,” Ssemwanga said. “I’m thrilled to see so many dog lovers gathered in one place, it’s a testament to the growing dog-loving community in Uganda.”
“I never thought I’d see so many dogs in one place!” exclaimed Jane Kaggwa, a dog owner from Kampala. “It’s amazing to see how much joy they bring to our lives.”
“I brought my dog, Max, to socialize with other dogs,” said David Mubiru, a dog breeder from Entebbe. “Events like these are essential for their mental and physical well-being.”
“I was impressed by the organization and the turnout,” said Dr. Sarah Nakato, a veterinary doctor. “It’s great to see people coming together to celebrate their love for dogs.”
“I’m so happy to see my dog, Luna, having so much fun,” said Emily Tumushabe, a dog owner from Kampala. “This event has been a great opportunity for us to meet other dog lovers and learn more about dog care.”
The event, organized by Dog Walk Events aimed to raise awareness about the importance of dogs in protecting children and families. With its success, it’s clear that Uganda’s dog-loving community is growing and thriving.
