Kampala, Uganda – In a heartwarming display of corporate social responsibility, the Allan Children’s Foundation has distributed school supplies to 300 less privileged children in the marginalized areas of Kasubi, Kawaala. The event, held at the Kasubi Kawaala community center, saw children and their parents gather to receive the donated items.
The foundation’s CEO, Allan Kato, led the initiative, which aims to empower children through education. “These children, often overlooked and marginalized, now have the necessary tools to return to school and continue their education with dignity and hope,” Kato said. “We believe that every child, regardless of their background or circumstances, deserves access to quality education.”
The distribution of school supplies is a significant milestone in the foundation’s mission to provide support to underprivileged children. “Education is not just a fundamental right; it is a powerful tool for change. It is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and opening doors to opportunities that can transform lives and communities,” Kato emphasized.

Kato, a social entrepreneur, drew inspiration from his own experiences with poverty and homelessness. Despite facing adversity, he remains committed to creating a positive impact and offering hope to those who need it most. “Our foundation is deeply committed to supporting the educational needs of these children,” added Kato. “We believe that education is the key to unlocking their potential and empowering them to succeed in life.”
The foundation has made a significant impact since its inception in 2019, benefiting over 300 orphans and vulnerable children. Donors worldwide have generously supported the foundation’s efforts. “I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to our donors,” Kato said. “Your financial contributions have enabled us to purchase the necessary school supplies and support our various programs. Your belief in our mission and trust in our work have been instrumental in making this initiative a reality.”
The donated items included school uniforms, books, stationery, and other essential supplies. The children’s faces lit up with joy as they received their gifts, eager to start the new term with confidence and hope.
The initiative demonstrates the power of social entrepreneurship and the impact that can be made when individuals come together to drive positive change. As Kato noted, “Together, we can make a difference and create a brighter future for these children.”
