This collaboration underscores Liberty’s commitment to empowering youth, celebrating culture and fostering innovation to build a brighter future for Uganda.
The Ekisaakaate Kya Nnabagereka is a transformative initiative that equips young people with essential life skills, leadership training and cultural values to prepare them for a world of opportunities. Through this partnership, Liberty is taking a leadership role in educating and inspiring the next generation about the importance of financial literacy and insurance, laying the foundation for a secure and resilient future.
Speaking about the partnership, MR. Peter Makhanu, Managing Director of Liberty General Insurance, said: “At Liberty, we believe that building a better tomorrow begins with empowering the youth today. Ekisaakaate provides a unique platform to not only celebrate Uganda’s rich cultural heritage but also prepare young people for life’s realities. By introducing them to the concept of insurance at an early age, we are equipping them with the tools they need to thrive in the face of life’s uncertainties and achieve their dreams with confidence.”
As the insurer of the future, Liberty is committed to thought leadership and community impact. Through workshops and interactive sessions with the learners at Ekisaakaate, Liberty trained participants on the importance of insurance, financial planning and risk management ensuring they are better prepared to step into adulthood with a strong understanding of how to secure their futures.

The partnership also highlights Liberty’s passion for promoting Uganda’s tourism and cultural heritage. By positioning itself as Uganda’s No. 1 tourism fan, Liberty is committed to preserving and celebrating the country’s traditions while embracing modern solutions that drive growth and innovation. “This partnership reflects Liberty’s purpose of empowering communities and creating meaningful change. We are honoured to support the Ekisaakaate Kya Nnaabagereka in shaping the next generation of leaders who will uphold Uganda’s heritage and drive its development,” added Mr. Peter Makhanu.

The Nnaabagereka Foundation joined hands with Liberty, emphasizing the alignment between the two organisations’ visions. Ekisaakaate continues to inspire and shape future leaders, instilling in them a deep sense of responsibility, resilience and cultural pride. MR. Andrew Adrian Mukiibi; Foundation Manager of the Nnaabagereka Development Foundation said “Ekisaakaate Kya Nnaabagereka is a great gift for parents to give their children, some of the knowledge we will be sharing to these youth are the benefits of insurance and to make them understand the need of insurance. We are thankful to Liberty Uganda for the support given to the youth during the Ekisaakate.”
