TORORO – A horrific incident has shaken the town of Tororo in Uganda, leaving residents reeling in shock. The police are currently investigating the gruesome murder of 28-year-old Awori Immaculate, whose lifeless body was discovered at Panorama Cottages Guest House in Tororo Municipality.
According to preliminary investigations, Awori Immaculate and her one-month-old baby girl, Andera Jane, were deceived by two women, Nanozi Eseza alias Nalunga Pretty and Awori Beatrice. The suspects claimed to be working for a non-governmental organization (NGO) that supports mothers and babies. They lured Awori Immaculate and her baby from Paya, booking a room at the guest house under false pretenses.
Tragically, the suspects’ true intentions were sinister. They murdered Awori Immaculate and stole her baby. The heinous crime was discovered when a lodge attendant found the body and alerted the authorities.
Fortunately, the police were able to apprehend both suspects, and the baby, Andera Jane, has been recovered safely. The police are working tirelessly to ensure that the suspects are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
The Tororo District Police Commander, speaking on the incident, condemned the heinous crime and assured the public that justice would be served. “We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident, and we condemn the actions of the suspects in the strongest terms. We will do everything in our power to ensure that they are held accountable for their crimes.”
The police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation. As the community mourns the loss of Awori Immaculate, they are also grateful for the safe recovery of baby Andera Jane.
The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of vigilance and community awareness. The police are urging parents and guardians to be cautious when dealing with strangers, especially those claiming to represent NGOs or other organizations.
