KAMPALA – The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has successfully completed its internal process for selecting candidates to contest in the upcoming Kawempe North by-election.
The Party Electoral Commission officially presented musician Sadat Mukiibi, aka Kalifah Aganaga, as their suitable candidate for much-anticipated Kawempe North by-election on March.
The position fell vacant after the demise of Mohammad Ssegirinya, alias Mr. Update who was yet to complete his first term in the House.
The party also chose Mr. Sebunya Sharif, as their flag bearer for Councilor for Kazo Angola.
In addition to the by-election candidates, the FDC also announced its support for Mr. Mayeku Jacob as the Guild Presidential Candidate for Makerere University Business School (MUBS).
The selected candidates were officially received by the FDC President, Eng. Patrick Oboi Amuriat, at the party headquarters in Najjankumbi. The FDC reaffirmed its commitment to presenting competent leaders who will advance the interests of the people.
As the FDC prepares for the upcoming by-election, the party remains dedicated to its core values of promoting democracy, justice, and equality for all Ugandans.
