The Education Minister and Sports, Mrs. Janet Museveni, has released the results for the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations. This year’s release includes results for two cohorts: the first group of learners under the New Lower Secondary Curriculum (NLSC) and the last group under the Old Curriculum (Transitional) Examination.
Speaking at the release, UNEB Executive Director Dan Odong announced that students can access their UCE results via SMS. This convenient service allows candidates to receive their results instantly on their mobile phones.
To access the results, candidates or their parents/guardians can follow these simple steps:
- Type UCE, followed by a space, and then the full student index number. For example:
– UCE U0000/001T (for transitional candidates)
– UCE U0000/001 (for NLSC candidates)
- Send the message to 6600.
-
Wait for the response, which will contain the UCE results for the candidate.
Please note that after the official release, a charge of Shs 500 will apply to all networks. It is essential to ensure that the personal numbers of the candidates are correctly formatted, as illustrated above, to avoid any errors or delays in receiving the results.
