Learners at Kabubbu Community Primary School and Trust High School, Kabubbu received a donation of picture Bibles from donors through GB Trust, a charitable organization based in UK.
The donors said the donation is aimed at supporting learners’ spiritual and educational growth.
The Bibles were delivered by Christian Literature Communication (CLC), Kenya, whose mandate is to honour God by making Christian literature and resources available and accessible to help people come to faith and maturity in the Lord.
The event, officiated by Mr Kagoda Enock, the Executive Director of Kabbubu Development Project (KDP), marked a significant milestone in promoting literacy, Christian values, and mentorship among children in the Kabubbu community.
KDP is a Ugandan NGO dedicated to transforming communities through education, health, and livelihood. Serving 153 villages in the Nangabo sub-county of Wakiso District, KDP works to empower children and families for a brighter future.
In addition to receiving Bibles, the students engaged in interactive Bible reading sessions led by the CLC team and were allowed to explore creative writing.
Budding young talents were identified for mentorship in children’s book authorship, paving the way for future storytellers.
Speaking at the event, KDP Executive Director expressed deep gratitude for the initiative, emphasizing the lasting impact such donations have on young learners.
“These Bibles are more than just books; they are tools of transformation. They will not only deepen the faith of our learners but also enhance their literacy skills and storytelling abilities,” he said.
He added: “We are incredibly grateful to Christian Literature Communication and GB Trust for investing in the future of Kabubbu’s children.”
This initiative aligns with Kabbubu Development Project’s vision of empowering communities through education and holistic development.
By providing access to faith-based literature and fostering a reading culture, KDP continues to support children in becoming confident, educated, and values-driven individuals.
