Kampala, Uganda – As Uganda’s industrial sector continues to expand, with manufacturing growing by 7.9% and agriculture’s gross value-added increasing by 4.4% in Q3 of 2023/24, Uganda Baati is playing a vital role in strengthening the country’s industrial infrastructure.
The company’s innovative building solutions, particularly its SAFBUILD pre-engineered steel structures, have been instrumental in supporting key economic sectors such as agro-processing. A notable example is the recent launch of Inspire Africa’s Coffee Park in Ntungamo District, where Uganda Baati provided all pre-engineered structures.
“SAFBUILD is a world-class pre-engineered steel building solution designed to provide businesses with durable, efficient, and cost-effective structures,” explained Apoorva Hemantha, Head of Safal Building Systems at Uganda Baati. “Our buildings are pre-designed and produced from a combination of cold-formed and hot-rolled steel at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.”
“As we continue to innovate and expand our offerings, Uganda Baati remains steadfast in our mission to empower industries and contribute to the nation’s sustainable growth and development,” Rumanyika noted.
Uganda Baati’s contribution to the Africa Coffee Park project is a testament to the company’s commitment to accelerating industrialization through innovative building solutions. “We are devoted to supporting key economic sectors such as agro-processing, and our partnership with Inspire Africa is a shining example of this commitment,” said Ian Rumanyika, Head of External and Corporate Affairs at Uganda Baati.
Inspire Africa Group CEO, Nelson Tugume, praised Uganda Baati’s innovative SAFBUILD structures, saying, “This partnership has enabled us to set up world-class facilities efficiently and cost-effectively, adding value to Uganda’s coffee exports and driving economic growth.”
Uganda Baati’s industrial building solutions extend beyond SAFBUILD, with a suite of innovative products including SAFSOLAR, a sustainable solar energy solution, and ULTRASPAN, a light-gauge steel roofing system. The company has played a crucial role in the construction of various landmark structures across the country, including churches, factories, schools, and hospitals.
