Kampala, Uganda – BrighterMonday Uganda has announced a strategic partnership with the ICT Innovation Hub to equip job seekers and professionals with essential soft skills and digital literacy.
The partnership aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers by fostering career readiness, interpersonal skills, and digital capabilities, according to Xenia Wachira, Country Manager at BrighterMonday Uganda.
“As the demand for well-rounded professionals continues to grow, this collaboration will provide tailored training programs, mentorship opportunities, and hands-on career development sessions to empower individuals with critical competencies,” Wachira said.
The partnership seeks to address the skills gap in Uganda’s job market, where many job seekers possess academic qualifications but lack essential soft skills and digital literacy.
Wachira noted that employers increasingly seek candidates with strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability skills. “The partnership is designed to equip job seekers with the skills that matter most to employers, and we believe that by working together, we can create a more skilled and competitive workforce,” she added.
Through this collaboration, BrighterMonday Uganda and ICT Innovation Hub will offer training programs to improve leadership, communication, and collaboration, as well as digital literacy training to prepare job seekers for the technology-driven job market.
Career coaching and mentorship will also be provided to enhance employability and professional growth, along with networking opportunities with industry leaders and potential employers.
