KAMPALA – NRM’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) has endorsed a new Electoral Commission lineup, paving the way for the 2026 general elections.
Dr. Tanga Odoi has been endorsed as the Chairman of the Electoral Commission. He will be deputized by Hon. Jacan Omach.
The other commissioners endorsed by the NRM CEC include Hon. Alisemera Jane Babiiha, Hon. Amb. James Kinobe, Hon. James Tweheyo, Hon. Zaitun Driwaru, and Hon. Juliana Auma.
The new Electoral Commission is expected to play a crucial role in overseeing the 2026 general elections party primaries, ensuring their fairness, transparency, and credibility.
