It has been a period of fasting for both Muslims and Christians, who have been observing the Holy month of Ramadan and Lent, respectively. While Muslims concluded their fasting period on Saturday, April 20, 2025, some Christian sects, like Catholics and Protestants, will celebrate Easter holidays on Sunday, April 20, 2025.
Muslim students at Bronston Canadian Academy in Kampala joined the rest of the Islamic faithful to observe the Holy month of Ramadan through fasting. The school ensured a conducive environment for learners to adhere to their religious obligations while incorporating global innovative traits.
The Managing Director of Bronston Canadian Academy, Daphne Elva Bukirwa, emphasized the importance of fasting during the last Friday of Ramadan Iftar dinners organized by the school. “Fasting is aimed at purifying the soul and earning spiritual growth. We should encourage friends to observe it.”

Bronston Canadian Academy-Kampala is the official partner of Bronston Canadian Academy in Hamilton, Ontario, offering the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). The one-year course is studied online with in-person tutor support at their center.
The OSSD earned at Bronston Canadian Academy-Kampala is equivalent to an OSSD earned through a publicly funded secondary school in Ontario, Canada. “We work with supportive and driven tutors who help learners upgrade their O-level or A-level results, increasing their chances of gaining acceptance into competitive post-secondary/university programs globally.”

The academy’s program also targets students who want to fast-track to university without the traditional path. “The OSSD can be completed in just one year, compared to the typical 2-year high school programs offered in Uganda.”
BCA-Kampala ensures interactive, dynamic, and engaging classes, pairing students with quality tutors for one-on-one support throughout the program.
