
Kampala, Uganda – PostBank Uganda has emerged victorious in an exhibition match at the 2025 FUBA Women All-Star Tournament, defeating Parliament of Uganda 60-52.
The match, played at the Lugogo Indoor Stadium on Sunday, showcased the banking institution’s skills on the court. PostBank’s Managing Director, Julius Kakeeto, and Head of Marketing and Communications, Priscilla Akora, were in attendance.
Several members of parliament participated in the game, including Amuria District Woman MP Suzan Amero and Koboko Woman MP Sharifah Aete Taban.
In the tournament’s main event, Team Ageno successfully defended their title, edging out Team Kamwada 52-48 in a closely contested match.
Team Ageno’s captain, Sarah Ageno, was awarded the Most Valuable Player (MVP) accolade, while Tracy Namugosa of Team Kamwada claimed the top scorer award. Mercy Batamuliza, also of Team Kamwada, was recognised as the top rebounder.
The tournament also featured a mentorship programme for young players and a Legends game showcasing veteran female basketball players.
PostBank Uganda provided a cash prize of Shs3m for the winning team, Team Ageno, while runners-up Team Kamwada received Shs2m.
