KABALE– Police in Kabale district has in custody a man named Osbert Bakebwa for allegedly cutting off his wife’s head.
Bakebwa 38, a resident of Kashanda village, in Kaharo Sub County, Kabale district is said to have on Thursday evening used a machete to behead his wife Gloria Katushabe
According to Elly Maate, the regional police spokesperson the couple was attending to their garden in the evening when Bakebwa turned to his wife and slaughtered her for reasons not yet established.
Later after committing the crime Maate says, Bakebwa hid in a nearby house where he was found during the police search.
Maate says the body of Katushabe was taken to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for post-mortem as investigations into the murder carry on.
The suspect is currently detained at Kaharo Police Post as investigations go on.
