
WAKISO– Police in Nansana on Monday arrested a man identified as Moses Muwanguzi for allegedly breaking houses for the purposes of making off with household properties and appliances.
Muwanguzi, 24, a resident of Namungoona, Luyinja was reported by suspicious neighbours who told the police that the young man comes with a flat-screen TV every after four days.
According to police, Muwanguzi was found with a number of Flat Screen TVs of different sizes and models which he failed to account for upon arrest.
Police revealed that the suspect is believed to be responsible for several burglaries and thefts in the areas of Nansana over the recent months.
So far two of the recovered TVs have been positively identified by the rightful owners who confirmed they had previously reported to Nabweru Police Station cases of housebreaking where a number of their properties were stolen.
The suspect is currently detained at Nansana Police Station vide SD: 26/27/10/2018 on charges of being in possession of suspected stolen goods, housebreaking and theft.
