SEMBABULE – The territorial police in Sembabule district has on Thursday 6 arrested a one Kusasira Steven 43, for murdering his wife Kisakye Elizabeth 46, whom he allegedly killed using a panga.
The incident happened at Nakarerwe village, Mbuye parish in Sembabule district.
According to sources, it is alleged that the couple had a domestic misunderstanding that resulted into the murder.
Police used a Canine (domestic dog), visited the scene using the dog tracked down, and arrested Kusasira whom it found attempting to commit suicide.
Mr. Kusasira was rushed to Masaka Referral Hospital for medical attention as he had cut his throat using the same panga that was recovered as an exhibit.
Police have, however, urged members of the community to use all Police avenues available like the Child and Family Protection unit to sort all domestic related issues.
