KAMPALA — Brian Kirumira popularly know as Brian White, a city socialite faces fresh arrest over massive debts, according to emerging reports.
Brian White is a self-styled tycoon known for dishing out money in Kampala.
The man who of late dominated local tabloids for his display of money might have to spend sometime in prison even before the end of lockdown after reports that he is indebted to a tune of about UGX. 1b in unpaid car deals.
Bryan White allegedly acquired a posh Mercedes Benz G-Wagon from a city businessman a one Alex Biyenda and only paid less than $100,000 of over $250,000.
Since then, Bryan White has been playing hide and seek and failed to clear over UGX.700m required by Biyenda.
He allegedly promised to pay the balance, which he did not, prompting the former owner Biyenda to report a criminal case of obtaining goods by false pretence against Mr. Kirumira.
Biyenda is reportedly finalizing plans to arrest the self styled tycoon for his balance or to impound the monster luxurious car.
The development comes barely a week after Bryan White was seen on social media offering to bail out singer Jose Chameleone whose Toyota VX had been impounded by Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) over taxes.
In November last year, the ‘tycoon’ lost for words as police investigation officers tasked him to explain why he had failed to pay up billions of shillings he owes several people, including his landlord.

In July 2018, police raided the socialite’s home and impounded a luxurious Mercedes Benz Cross Country on allegations that he acquired it fraudulently.
