
KAMPALA – Police in Kampala are hunting for a group of thugs who raided a plastic Factory in the wee hours of Monday and made off with millions of shillings and other property.
According to factory sources, thugs at around 3 am raided Tiani Plastic Factory at Komamboga zone in Kanyanya, Kawempe Division by scaling over the perimeter wall.
The thugs are said to have overpowered two policemen guarding the premises before tying them with ropes and using their guns to demand for money from the company manager identified as Liang Jun Quing, a Chinese national.
The manager is said to have surrendered money worth Shs20 million and other items which include a 50 inch Flat TV screen, Office computers and CCTV DVR.
The thugs abandoned the guns in the Factory before fleeing.
