KAMPALA – The Katwe police is investigating a murder by shooting that saw one losing life in Natete parish.
Magidu Mugwanya, 43, resident of Kibumbiro B Zone, Busega Parish, Rubaga Division in Kampala City was killed on July 14, 2021, at around 10:16pm.
Luke Owoyesigyire, the deputy police spokesperson, Kampala metropolitan said that the preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased could have been shot as a result of an argument at a bar joint belonging to one Patience who has since been arrested to help police with the investigations.
“She is also likely to be charged for operating a bar something that is against Covid-19 guidelines issued by the ministry of health,” Owoyesigyire said.
“Two pistol catridges found at the scene and items from the deceased’s car are part of the exhibits as investigations proceed to identify the suspect.”
The body of the deceased was conveyed to mortuary for a post mortem.
