KAMPALA — The Makerere University Business School Career & Skills Development Centre, will on Tuesday, August 3, host CPA Julius Rwajekare, a partner at Ernst & Young Uganda to speak to the students community and stakeholders.
Mr. Rwajekare, a senior ccountant will speak about the landscape of auditing careers and job opportunities at Ernst & Young.
The weekly session, in which Makerere University Business School Principal Prof. Waswa Balunywa will give a key note adress will be relayed via zoom between 2:00PM and 3:00PM.
Ms. Maureen Tweyongyere, the MUBS Career & Skills Development Centre director says that for learners to find employment after graduation, it takes deliberate preparation and planning.
“Students need hands-on exposure to jobs, internships and volunteering opportunities,” says says.
About Julius Rwajekare

Rwajekare joined Ernst & Young Uganda in 2004 after he had completed the pharmacist training and internship programme at the Uganda Mulago Medical School and National Referral Hospital.
He also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting (Oxford Brookes University), and is a Certified Public Accountant of Uganda and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accounts (ACCA) – United Kingdom.
He has wide experience in all industries in East Africa having worked in Ernst and Young Ugand, South Sudan and Tanzania.
He has also served clients in Rwanda, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leon and United Arab Emirates.
Rwajekare has served strategic and large clients in East Africa including the Central Bank of Uganda, the Uganda National Social Security Fund, Rwanda Revenue Authority, the Uganda national electricity distributor – Umeme Limited, Ministry of Petroleum and Mining of South Sudan and Barclays Bank of Uganda and Tanzania.
He has also been instrumental in developing accounting and auditing skills for the oil and gas upstream sector business in Uganda, South Sudan and Tanzania.
Rwajekare is also a key technical and training resource in East Africa.
He has been a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda Technical Committee and has done several presentations to CPAs and University students.
