
KAMPALA – The Ministry of Education and Sports in Uganda has announced the admission into Community Polytechnic Certificate courses in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions for 2025.
Applications are invited from interested persons for admission to various courses available in TVET institutions under both government and private sponsorship.
The selection exercise is scheduled to take place from February 3rd to 7th, 2025, at regional centers in Gombe, Mbale, Bobi, and Kakiika Technical School. To be eligible, applicants must be Ugandan citizens, holders of a P.7 certificate regardless of scores, or have recognition of prior relevant skills.
“We urge all eligible candidates to take advantage of this opportunity to acquire technical and vocational skills that will enhance their employability and contribute to the development of our country,” said Dr. Kedrace R. Turyagyenda, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Sports.
Application forms can be obtained from regional selection centers, education offices, TVET institutions, or the Ministry of Education and Sports website. Completed forms must be returned by January 31, 2025.
Some of the available courses include Uganda Community Polytechnics Certificate in Electrical Installation Practice, Uganda Community Polytechnics Certificate in Bricklaying and Concrete Practical, Uganda Community Polytechnics Certificate in Plumbing and Pipe Fitting, Uganda Community Polytechnics Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery, and Community Polytechnic Certificate in Agriculture.
