KAMPALA — Ms. Joyce Bagala Ntwatwa has on Thursday October 1 resigned her position as Chief News Editor at Next Media Services (NMS) for elective politics.
Ms. Bagala who will be taking on incumbent MP and Minister Judith Nabakooba for Woman MP Mityana District Parliamentary Seat was this week given greenlight by National Unity Platform (NUP) of Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.
Next Media Services confirmed Ms. Bagala’s departure and wished her well her political journey.
Mr. Joseph Kigozi the Next Media Services Chief Strategy Officer said “This is one of the most difficult resignations we have had to take, but one where the submitter has done enough to be listened to if she needs to move on.”
The company has since named former Red Pepper editor Dalton Kaweesa the new Chief News Editor.
