
MASAKA – Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi on Saturday continued with his campaign trail in Manzi, Bbiya, and Bukunda villages in Kamuzinda parish and reiterated government’s committment to set up a fruit processing machine that will save the people from trekking long distances on foot and on cycles in search for market of their produce especially pineapples that are in plenty in the area.
The Vice President added that this factory will avail ready market for the fruits, stable prices and manure byproducts for the farmers.
Ssekandi said that NRM’s covenant with the people of Uganda has already provided avenues to improve the lives of the people in the forthcoming tenure in office for 2021 2026.
He said that convenants with the people are always documented adding that the NRM manifesto is the best laid out planned document to develop the country.
The Vice President said that 52 bore holes have been rehabilitated in Kyanamukaka as the area also prepares to be linked to National water piped water that will be in every home that wishes upon paying the initial fees and monthly charges that will accrue.
The Vice President appealed to the people against breaking the chain of leaders down the slope by electing non nrm leaders that won’t work well with him.
The Vice President received a group of youth who were previously NUP diehards led by Lubega Didi who came along with 10 other youth and pledged their total support to NRM’s Presidential candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi who is standing for Bukoto Central Member of Parliament slot on the NRM ticket.
