
KAMPALA – Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) is holding a stakeholders workshop on the use of remotely piloted Aircraft System commonly know as Drones at the Mestil Hotel in Nsambya.
The free workshop according to CAA aims at creating awareness within stakeholders, including the relevant government ministries, agencies and academia, importers and professional bodies among others who are active in the sector to exchange other new emerging technology.
The workshop aims to deliberate on the use of drone usage in Uganda and to enable CAA obtain feedback from users
Key among the issues on the agenda include ITU position on drones, security requirements and importation of drones, customs requirements for importation of drones, controlled Airspace and restricted areas.
Others include operations in the vicinity of aerodromes, privacy issues among others.
