
NAKASEKE – Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) engineering brigade has reached to near Completion of the construction of Biddabugya health centre III in Timuna Village Bukulu subcounty Nakaseke District.
According to the UPDF statement released on Monday evening, the army is targeting improving on the health standards and living conditions of the residents as one of Government’s priorities.
Namitala Cissy of Kasangobe village and Namutebi Dinah of Nakaseta village respectively expressed gratitude over the construction of a new medical block structure to substitute the old structures.
Whike Mr Wagaba Fred Sebutiko, the in charge of Biddabugya health centre III applauded Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) and Engineering Brigade in particular for coming up to finish the hospital structure which had become stagnant due to lack of funds to accomplish it.
Wagaba noted that the new building has the capacity to meet the standard facilities of a level III hospital handling out patients Department (OPD) and the in patients services. The facilities expected in the new structure building includes; children ward, men ward, maternity ward, lab and theatre facilities among others.
Wegaba commended the UPDF team of Engineers for the discipline exhibited since they camped in the area to rebuild the hospital.
Lt Jimmy Jackson Ankunda, the project Engineer said that this was one of the projects selected to consolidate the UPDF strategic Partnership with the people to guard the gains of liberation in greater Luweero including Nakasongola, Nakaseke , luweero and Wakiso (Busiro North).
The project Engineer observed that the structure was found at 40% and of now it is at 90%. He promised to hand it over to the hospital management before the 6th Tarehe sita day cellebrations to give reason to the residents to join the UPDF at Butalangu grounds.
“We have managed to reach this percentage in the shortest time possible by the Engineering Brigade staffs alongside the residents”. Said the Project Engineer.
