KAMPALA – Interestingly, the Honourable state minister for investment Evelyne Anite may, just may, have valid points and concerns but she’s clearly ill advised or not advised at all yet wants to be a super minister by issuing directives fwaaaa.
In her dangerous ignorance as Kahinda Otafire would say, she assumes the Attorney General just walks to court and asks that the administrator be relieved of his duties. Court even on the facts and merits of the case will certainly rule for the administrator to stay and it’s not a given that you demand for his removal and court obliges.
I don’t see how as minister you write a letter to all those offices with such statements as, “…Bemanya is a crooked lawyer who is entrenched in the Attorney General’s Chambers.”
She’s basically accusing Rukutana of conniving with Bemanya but unlike her Rukutana isn’t giving a personal opinion but a Legal opinion grounded in the law not personal views. You can suspect him of anything but you can only say his legal opinion is “fundamentally flawed” by pointing out where the flaws in his interpretation of the law are.
Anyway that’s the price we pay as a nation for having charlatans in such offices.
A Maria Kiwanuka or Ezra Suruma would never write such a letter even in her most frustrating moments.
