KAMPALA – When I joined secondary school, I was forced to study all science subjects including chemistry. I wondered why I would bother studying subjects that would never be of any use to me.
Now, almost 23 years, I realize how much I missed out on pursuing chemistry to higher levels, it appears everything in the world rotates around sciences and chemistry in particular.
I have been forced to go back to the drawing board to understand why certain things behave the way they do without the thought about miracles.
In one of the researches done immediately after the outbreak of covid 19, it recommended a novel approach to treat COVID-19 patients, using an oxygen-ozone (O2-O3) mixture, via a process called Oxygen-Ozone- Immunoceutical Therapy.
The methodology met the criteria of a novel, promising approach to treat the disease especially among the elderly persons. The results showed that O2-O3 treatment would be a promising therapy for COVID-19 patients.
It led patients to a fast recovery from ARDS via the improvement of major respiratory indexes and blood gas parameters. With sufficient oxygen in the world and less carbon dioxide, diseases such as covid 19 would never have become a pandemic.
While trying to understand covid 19, I was irked to find out why the disease is re-appearing in different strains and emerging from various corners of the world and why there is a thin line between its cure and the use of oxygen.
It is at this point that I accidentally came across the periodic table with its underlying mysteries embedded in the number 6 closely associated with the element known as carbon.
Carbon is a group IVA element, residing between boron and nitrogen on the periodic table, and it has 6 protons, 6 neutrons, and 6 electrons and clearly brings out the mysterious number 666. These numbers are cryptically referred to in the book of Rev 13:16-18 as the “mark,” “name,” or “number” of the Beast. The number of the best is 666 and the name is carbon.
The beast does not mean a physical being as many have been led to believe. The likes of Bill Gates are only concerned about the well being of the world and humanity through research that the world must wake up to fight the beast called carbon that has potential to destroy all of us and anything that depends on oxygen for survival.
Revelation 13:18 adds to the horror by posing the Bible’s most mysterious riddle. It states: “Here is wisdom, let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: his number is 666.” Of course many cowards have already come up with potential beast candidates because they think these are the biblical end times. However, our activities on the earth especially in regard to emitting high levels of carbon have a direct bearing on survival of mankind.
I will use a chemical compound known as carbon to unearth the mystery revealing the deep and seemingly hidden truths in scripture, such as the frightening significance of being “numbered”, the meaning of 666, how the number will be counted, and its shocking role. In the current world, the mere mention of anything that has 666 in it brings goose pimples to those who have read but not understood the biblical 666 and the use of symbolism.
In English-influenced cultures, this number also came to be identified as the number of the Antichrist, a term that never appears in the Book of Revelation but rather derives from the epistles 1 and 2 John, where it appears as both “one who opposes Christ” (1John 2:18, 1John 2:22; 1John 4:3; 2John 1:7) and “those who oppose Christ” (1John 2:18). Here, the term mainly characterizes the opposing side of a dispute that originated as an intra-Christian debate on the nature of Christ.
However, by the 4th century, the Antichrist functioned as an umbrella symbol combining the book of Revelation’s major symbols of evil: the Dragon (ultimate cosmic evil, Satan), the First Beast (the Roman Empire), and the Second Beast (the Roman priestly and governmental apparatus).Whatever or whoever causes trouble to the world can be equated to a beast.
As the world was marking its 5thanniversary of the adoption of the landmark Paris Agreement on climate change, a promising movement for carbon neutrality was taking shape with scientists hitting the world’s largest laboratories for solutions. By January, 2021, countries representing more than 65 per cent of harmful greenhouse gasses and more than 70 per cent of the world economies had committed themselves to achieve net zero emissions by the middle of the century. This was a dream and it appears somebody had forgotten that Carbon is a chemical element that you cannot get rid of overnight.
While one of the strategies was to shut down the whole world through the use of the covid 19 pandemic, others were using it as a testing tool to establish its efficiency. It has worked wonders and it would take a fool to abandon such a strategy meaning covid is here to stay until the plan is achieved. The world’s poorest or most populated countries must be sacrificed to enable the clean up ahead of the 2030 plan envisaged under the Paris agreement which will require small populations. How to achieve a smaller population is the missing link.
It will work like a cattle padlocking system where animals are allowed to graze in one paddock and once they have depleted the grass, they are shifted to another to allow the former regenerate for future use. The story of animal farm will come into play where the more equal animals on the planet will be allowed to rotate in the paddocks to allow the cleansing but before they do, those considered less important will be forced out to create the much desired space. Most of Asia and many in the sub Saharan Africa are on the hit list.
The Paris Agreement would not have come into being had China, the United States, and the European Union which together contribute more than half of all global greenhouse gas emissions, not signaled their intent to take major steps to reduce their domestic emissions. The EU has been at the forefront of global climate change measures for years having issued binding domestic emission reduction targets for 2020 and 2030.
At the same time, the main climate indicators are worsening. The past decade was the hottest on record; Arctic sea ice was the lowest ever, and apocalyptic fires, floods, droughts and storms are increasingly the new normal. Biodiversity is collapsing, deserts are spreading, oceans are warming and choking with a lot of deadly waste materials. Science tells us that unless we cut fossil fuel production by 6 per cent every year between now and 2030, things will get worse.
It is time to put a price on carbon; end fossil fuel subsidies and finance; stop building new coal power plants; shift the tax burden from income to carbon, from taxpayers to polluters; make climate-related financial risk disclosures mandatory; and integrate the goal of carbon neutrality into all economic and fiscal decision-making. Banks will have no option but to align their lending with the net zero objective, and asset owners and managers must decarbonize their portfolios if the world must remain in one piece.
This secret-code school of reading Revelation and other biblical prophetic books does get one thing right. The vivid images in the book are symbolic, but symbolic to a particular time and place, not malleable to whatever someone wants them to mean. Like any passage of scripture, you first have to look at the original meaning. In the case of Revelation, the book was encouraging an embattled Christian community to remain faithful and be wary of conforming too closely to the ways of the hostile world. The number 666 has never had magical powers, good or bad. That’s superstition, not religion.
What is underlying in the proverbial 666 is a breakdown of these numbers which brings us back to square one. What is going to destroy the world is not the so called antichrist; it is not the beast, it is the concentration of carbon on the globe that the bible refers to as a beast and man’s activities are to blame for the accumulation of carbon on earth.
