The Federation of Ugandan Football Association (FUFA) together with the South Sudan Association have both confirmed dates and venues for the CHAN 2018 Kenya qualifications for the two nations.
The first leg of the qualifier will be played on Friday July 14 2017 at the Juba Stadium in Juba South Sudan, at 4:30pm while the second leg will be played on the July 22, at the Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo in Kampala.
“The Phillip Omondi stadium was chosen to host the second leg because of the need to utilize all the CAF sanctioned stadiums in Uganda,” said FUFA chief officer Edgar Watson. Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic will tomorrow submit his squad to start training ahead of the Regional tour in Kabale District, Western Uganda in preparation for the match against South Sudan.
The winner between South Sudan and Uganda will face either Tanzania or Rwanda who are playing in the qualifiers.
