Lugogo. After guiding KCCA FC to their maiden League and Cup double KCCA FC manager Mike Mutebi is far from being complacent. He is now focused on winning the CAF Confederation Cup and he is carrying out a massive overhaul of the club that will see close to 14 players discarded from Lugogo PML daily has learnt.
Reliable sources indicate that Mutebi wants the overhaul completed before the official opening of the local transfer widow.
Hassan Wasswa Dazo Yasin Mugume,Vicent Kayizzi,Robert Ssentongo,Martin Mpuuga,Brian Majwega, and Suliaman Akinyemi are all taunted as possible causalities alongside Ivan Ntege, Tom Masiko and Isaac Kirabira.
Masiko, one of the longest serving players in KCCA FC is rumored to have been courted by Vipers SC and Club patron Lawrence Mulindwa is said to have tabled a juicy offer to sway him away from Lugogo.
The manager has, however, dismissed beliefs that the side will struggle without the two departing anchormen.
Loaned to Police FC, Martin Mpuuga, Hakim Ssenkumba and Yasin Mugume are also seated in the KCCA FC departures lounge. The trio are equivalent to a drowning man, frantically attempting to pull himself to safety, but have retreated to their fate that they aren’t included in Mutebi’s plans for next season.
A sworn advocate of attacking football, Mutebi’s ambitions in the transfer market will prioritize upfield players. He is safe in the knowledge that adroit midfielder Ibrahim Sadam Juma ,Lwarence Kasadha and Abdallah Muhammad can cover the vacancies left by the threesome of Masiko, Ntege and Kirabira.
U-17 youngsters Peter Magambo and Sadat Anaku will graduate to the first team. Kirinya Jinja S.S’s Ceaser Sapeo is on the radar of the clubs’ coaching and scouting team and has been training with KCCA FC since the end of last season.

The prospect of striking an incredible deal to swap for Onduparaka’s red hot sensation Muhammand Shaban is still rated as probable, and despite denials , Shaban has been earmarked to fill the void left by nomad Robert Ssentongo. The Kasasiro boys will have to work hard to persuade Muhammad Shaban to leave Green Light Stadium but having seen Onduparaka capture Karimu Ndugwa , there is a glimmer of hope that Mutebi will get his man.
Mad cap Ssentongo’s relationship with Mutebi has been in frail state, and hence, for the players’ part, he will try his talents elsewhere in search for more playing time. The goal scoring spree of Geofrey Sserukuma and emergency of Whizkid Derrick Nsibambi demoted Ssentongo to number three in pecking order. Former paymasters URA FC have expressed interest to
Majwega opts to quit
re-sign him after only a solitary season following his acrimonious departure from the Tax Collectors. Yet, SC Villa could look at the veteran striker as an option to replace Emmanuel Okwi who left for Tazanian giants Simba.
Frustrated with playing a periphery role , Winger Majjwenga has reportedly handed in a transfer request to part ways with KCCA FC. He also accuses the club of failure to meet the terms of his two-year contract, which is left with ten months to cease. He is furious at his treatment by his paymasters who he claims owe him Shs15 million in Sign on fees.
