FOOTBALL–Soana FC head coach Shafic Bisaso has set top six as his priority for the Uganda Premier League season.
Bisaso was only last month confirmed as the new boss at Soana FC replacing Alex Isabirye. He is the fifth manager the club is appointing in a year.
The former SC Villa tactician told PML Daily he is confident of improvement in the league.
“Last season we finished behind only the sides that I thought were better than us in terms of preparations and finances but I would like to at least better the position this time round ” Bisaso said.
Soana last season finished 23 points off champions KCCA and if he is true to his word, they will need to curb that difference and have better performances against the teams that finished above them — by improving on the eight points they took from them (top 6) last season.
Bisaso has already made some signings with enough experience to spur him to his desired objectives. He has brought back former SC Victoria University and UPDF midfielder Muwada Mawejje, signed Owen Kasule from relegated Lweza and central defender Mike Kawooya from Kirinya Jinja SS.
Soana will be resuming training on Monday and they have three preseason friendlies lined up although Shafic Bisaso could not revile the identities of the teams.
