Acting Uganda Cranes coach Moses Basena has named the squad that will face off with Amavubi Stars of Rwanda this evening. In a move that has surprised many Ismael Watenga will start in goal ahead of KCCA’s Benjamin Ochan with Nico Wakiro Wadada and Isaac muleme at right and left back respectively.
With Timothy Awanyi away for trails in South Africa Basena has placed the trust in his KCCA team mate Paul Musamali to partner Savio Kabugo at the heart of the defence.
Bernard Muwanga (captain) once again takes the anchorman’s role like he diligently did against South Sudan in the earlier round.
Milton Karisa, Moses Waiswa, Derrick Nsibambi, Muzamiru Mutyaba and Shafiq are the others set to complete the first eleven. The return leg will take place next weekend.
