
FOOTBALL–Just days after Douglas Bamweyana was fired from the Express head coach role, the Red Eagles have unveiled former Soana FC coach Shafic Bisaso as their new coach this morning.
Bisaso who only lost his job at Soana now becomes the third coach at Express this season following the departure of Matia Lule and Douglas Bamweyana.
The fomer SC Villa, Soana and Masavu FC coach is tasked with the job of helping Express avoid relegation and push for a better finish in the table at the end of the season.
Speaking during the unveiling ceremony at the Club offices in Mutundwe Monday afternoon, Express FC Vice chairman Hajji Kamudas said: “Allow me introduce to you our new Coach Shafic Bisaso.”
“As the club, we have entrusted Bisaso with our Club and we believe he is the right man to propel our club to the next level,” Kamudas said.
He revealed that Bisaso will appoint his coaching staff to work with.
“I am happy to come here work with Express FC,” said the new coach Bisaso.
“It’s a big test ahead of me but I am not here because I have friends at Express FC, it’s because of my hard work so I am ready for the task,” Bisaso said.
Following their hard fought 2-1 victory past Proline FC at Startimes Stadium in lugogo on Saturday under the care of Sam Kawalya and Hassan Mubiru, the Red Eagles will return to league action tomorrow against Table leaders Police FC at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
They are currently 13th on the log with 11 points from 10 games
