
Express FC were eliminated by Kitara FC on penalties as the Red Eagles’ season continues to get from bad to worse.
The Red Eagles who are second from bottom in the league took the lead in the 33rd minute thanks to on loan striker Alfred Leku.
Kitara levelled the game midway the second half when former Express midfielder Derrick headed in home from close range.
Neither of the two teams could find a winner in normal time and penalties where required to find a winner.
Express saw two penalties missed as both captain David Ndihabwe and Alfred Leku failed to find the back of the net from six yards.
Goalie Goodwin Bule managed to make one penalty save but it was not enough as the Red Eagles went down 4-3 at the end of all 10 spot kicks taken.
