KCCA FC will be seeking for maximum points away to Police in their penultimate game of the season if they stand any chance of retaining the league title.
The two time defending champions seat two points behind leaders Viper SC who host UPDF on the same day, and can only win the league if they win and Vipers fail to beat UPDF.
Any thing short of a win KCCA FC will see the Venoms walk away with a first league title in three years.
“Due to the fact that it’s the last game of the season, we have prepared very well, said KCCA assistant coach Robert Kabuye.
“We have been in such a situation before so we prepare out players in the same manner and we don’t do anything out of the ordinary.
“To us it’s a normal game like any other and we will go out to try and get all three points like we have been doing in the past.
“Police will not be an easy but to crack but it all goes down to the preparations which i think have gone smoothly.
“It is not in our hands (winning the league) but we will try and execute our task well and see what happens after that.
“Yes it is KCCA’s propriety to win trophies but even if we don’t attain that on Friday, it is not the end of the world.
The Kasasiro Boys have a few concerns of their own, head coach Mike Mutebi lost his father on Wednesday and he will be burried on Friday. It remains to be seen if Mutebi will be on the touchline for the game at Namboole.
They are also sweating over the fitness of star players Shaban Muhammad and Muzamir Mutyaba who both missed the 2-1 win at home to Bul on Tuesday.
Shaban may come back but Muzamir Mutyaba has been ruled out for close to two months with an ankle injury.
For Police, it’s is ok to say that they have not so much left to play for.
They start the day comfertbaly seated in mid table with 38 points from 29 games and with no threat what so ever for relegation.
However, a win for the Cops may see them finish as high as fifth while a loss may result into a 9th place finish.

At Lugogo, KCCA has won five of their last six games against the Cops with the only exeption being a 1-1 draw in September 2014.

Their down fall has been the away form which has seen them win only 5 of thier 14 fixtures (D6 L4).
Police FC.
Police go into the game having won two of their last three fixtures after a run of as many defeats.
Police has had a fairly good form at home, winning Seven, drawn four and lost three of their 14 games so far.
Against the top three at home so far, the Cops have won one and drawn the other of their two games at Namboole.
