The FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel has awarded Bul FC three points in a match they lost 1-0 to UPDF.
This comes after the Jinja based club filed a petition on Wednesday, 25-04-2018, a day after their 1-0 loss in Bombo about the eligibility of one of UPDF’s players on the day.
The player in question is midfielder Sulaiman Majanjaalo who had seen red against KCCA had served only one of two games of his suspension with the game he sat out being the 2-0 loss at Express FC.
Below is the ruling of the FCDP:
“Sulaiman Majanjaalo was sent off during AUPL match no. 184 KCCA vs. UPDF. He only sat only the match No.193 between Express and UPDF on 17th April 2018. He was fielded in the match No. 200 when UPDF hosted BUL on 24th April 2018. There is total misinterpretation of both FCR and FIFA disciplinary code by UPDF F.C. The scope of application of the FIFA Code apply to every match or competitions organized by FIFA as per article 2 of the FIFA disciplinary code.
” By fielding a player who has not fully missed the next two physically played matches by UPDF F.C, as per article 29:11 of the FUFA Competitions rules 2017/18. UPDF F.C loses the match by forfeiture to BUL F.C, as per article 19:11 of the FUFA competitions rules 2017/18.
The communication by the FUFA competitions panel states it clearly that there is a provision to appeal the taken decision.
” The decision takes immediate effect. Any part not satisfied by this decision has a right of appeal.
By and large, BUL now displaces Maroons from the 6th place as they have now accumulated 36 points from 27 matches.
UPDF drops to the 15th with the deducted three points to 26 points, and deficit of 15 goals.
