Kirinya JSS 1-1 Vipers @Bugembe
URS 0-0 Masavu @Namboole

Vipers FC missed a chance to go seven points ahead of their nearest title challengers as they drew 1-1 at Kirinya JSS.
The Venoms started the day five points ahead of then second placed Villa and knew that despite a win for KCCA, they would temporarily go seven points ahead of the Kasasiro Boys but Kirinya had other ideas.
The Jinja based side took the lead as early as the 9th minute through Isma Kawawulo whose close range effort proved too much for Vipers custodian Ismail Watenga.
The rest of the first half saw limited goal mouth action as Vipers asserted their authority onto Charles Ayieko’s men.
Twelve minutes into the second half, midfielder Moses Waiswa restored purity for the venoms via a ferocious strike from 25 yards.
Despite head coach Miguel da Costa returning to the touchline after completing his four match ban, Vipers could not find a winner that they had become accustomed to lately.
With KCCA winning 2-0 at home to Proline on the same day, the draw leaves Vipers with 59 points from 28 games, five ahead of the Kasasiro Boys who have a game in hand on the Venoms.
SC Villa who where not in action are third on 53 points from 27 games and will return to action on Friday away to eternal rivals Express FC who are battling the drop.
For Kirinya, they remain fifth on the table with 40 points from 29 games and that is the highest they can finish as Onduparaka who seat fourth hold a healthy four points lead on them.
Elsewhere, Masavu gave them selves a glimmer of hope in their bid to avoid relegation thanks to a hard fought 0-0 draw away to URA FC at the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.

The Entebbe based side came into the game knowing that defeat would all but condemn them to the drop on the first attempt to life in the top tier.
Without assistant coach Alex Gitta who threw in the towel last week, the visitors put up a performance that deterred that four-time champions from hitting the back of their net.
It was a third successive draw for URA under interim coach Sam Ssimbwa and the result leaves the Tax Collectors 10th on the log with 34 points.
Masavu stays rooted at the bottom of the 16-team table with 26 points and will host six time champions Express FC in a do or die tie at Fisheries Ground, Bugonga on the final day of the season.
The match against the Red Eagles could relegate either one or both teams at the sound of the final whistle.
