
Robert Omunuk has penned down a two year deal at Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Football Club.
The player’s representative Hakim Kasirye on Wednesday confirmed that the player is now a registered tax collector.
“Omunuk has signed with the Tax collectors a two year deal and I personally believe he will have a good time and I wish him the best of luck. Kasirye confirmed.
Omunuk started his career with Mawogola Ssaza team, then played for Simba Sports Club in the Uganda Premier league and also represented in the Uganda National U-20 Team.
He ventured for greener pastures in the Kenya Premier League with a number of clubs including Sony Sugar, Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Nakumatt and Tusker Football Club.
The player is a left back , winger and also plays well in the centre midfield-good with dribbling and has a magnificent first touch , as well as shooting at the goal from a distance.
Robert was excited about joining the Tax collectors and has promised to not to late them down or regret why he was signed.
“I promise not to disappoint and I believe I will have a good time with my new home. Omunuk said.
He becomes the fourth URA signing in the summer transfer window after three KCCA FC players were secured on loan – Denis Okot Oola, Eric Ssenjobe and Solomon Okwalinga.
The other player signed by the Sam Ssimbwa’s outfit is Ronald Musana and the club is believed to be in advanced talks with out of contract Maroons goalkeeper Ashadu Bugembe.
The club is also likely to lose a number of players whose employment contracts have expired in the current off-season.
