The Uganda Cranes will take on Kitara Region in their first regional tour game of 2018 on Saturday evening.
This will come as an opportunity for head coach Sebastian Desabre to identify fresh talent that could be used by the national team in the near future.
Speaking to the media after the team’s last training at Nyakasanga grounds in Kasese, the Frenchman could not hide his excitement going into the game.
“I continue to learn a lot about Ugandan football, said Desabre.
“It is my first Uganda Cranes regional tour game and it’s another development programme like the FUFA Drum that gives me chance to identify and check out many more other players across the country.
“It a National team match so all players have equal opportunity to prove themselves.
The core aim of the campaign is to avail millions of the Uganda Cranes fans across Uganda who never make it to Namboole to catch their idols in action but hear, read or watch them on radios, papers and television respectively.
