BOTSWANA – Former Vipers SC head coach Miguel Da Costa has landed a new job with Botswana side Jwaneng Galaxy FC.
The Portuguese who was fired just less than two months after guiding Vipers to a first league title in three years is believed to have signed a three year deal with Jwaneng.
He was at Vipers for one and a half years, winning one major title and losing the 2018 Uganda Cup final to KCCA FC.
Reports suggest that he lost his job after having an affair with Viper’s patron Lawrence Mulindwa’s daughter, something that several Vipers’ players and officials denied.
The CECAFA Kagame cup in Tanzania was his last outing with the Venoms whom he led to a last eight appearance at the tournament before they were eliminated by Kenyan giants Gor Mahia.
At Jwaneng, he joins up with former Vipers’ striker Alfred Leku who joined the side late last week.
